Practice Appraisals

How much is your Chiropractic Office worth?

There are many instances in which you might need a business appraisal. The most common ones are when buying or selling a clinic, adding in or buying out a partner, and for estate planning or retirement. In any of these situations you would want to know what a clinic is worth so that you can plan accordingly. Having an established value of a practice sets the stage for everything else to come; it’s what you base an entire transaction upon.

The first step is to speak with one of our brokers to determine how they can assist you in your unique situation. Then we ask you to compile various clinic data and send it to us. Payment is also due at that time. After receiving your information, we set up your file and begin our work. We often ask you questions along the way while we establish values for each of the components in the clinic. When completed, we send you a thorough report for your records. Finally, after you’ve had a chance to review the appraisal, we walk you through it, explaining what we did and why.

How does the appraisal process work?

How much do business appraisals cost?

There are generally three tiers of pricing for business appraisals, based on the “collection size” of the clinic being valued. The appraisal fee is $3,500 for an average-size clinic. Please note that larger clinics will cost more. The appraisal fee is due upon receipt of your clinic information.

We are unique in that our team specializes in chiropractic (it’s all we do!)—our appraisals take into consideration the various nuances within the industry. We don’t use generic formulas. We pride ourselves on being extremely thorough and ask you a lot of questions to ensure accuracy of our appraisal. Our detailed report outlines all the areas that have value in your clinic. Most importantly, we illustrate our work to show you exactly how we arrived at the value of your practice. We just don’t plop an ambiguous number out on paper. The value we determine is based on your specific clinic and situation.

Our team of board certified business appraisal specialists are very skilled in identifying the exceptional features of the chiropractic business. Our comprehensive approach makes us different from most of the other brokers in the industry, because we look at all of the areas and types of values that make up a chiropractic practice: the fair market value of equipment and leasehold improvements, the investment value of goodwill, and the present value of accounts receivable. All of these components joined together comprise the total value of a chiropractic clinic.

Furthermore, the Business Valuations we perform are more than just a broker’s opinion. We follow the Appraisal Foundation’s Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) guidelines that detail how an appraisal should be conducted. By conforming to these measures, not only do our appraisals reflect what the practice is worth but also they are recognized as legal documents.

Schedule a Free Consultation

We make dreams come true.

There is no cost or obligation during the initial consultation. We do not believe in having to open your wallet when trying to find the right broker. Once all parties agree to begin working together, that is when fees will occur. We have separate fees for business appraisals, brokering, and financial procurements which are all discussed BEFORE any party moves forward. Appraisals are paid for upfront and based on set fees, while brokering and financial provisions are paid at closing and based on a percentage. We only earn a commission when we successfully close a deal!
